Black Cat Building Consultancy were appointed by the University of Derby to provide specialist Façade Consultancy on the Cavendish Building, the landmark new Business School in the heart of the city centre. Our role covered:• Reviewing façade specifications and design development• Carrying-out factory and on-site inspections• Providing clear, actionable recommendations to maintain quality, safety, and design integrity The seven-storey building, completed by Kier Construction, has just welcomed its first students and will provide cutting-edge facilities including creativity and finance labs, a logistics lab, and immersive XR learning environments.
